BOX OFFICE & THEATRE POLICIES
Making a Purchase
Subscription and ticket purchases, as well as tax-deductible donations, may be made in person, by phone, fax or securely online.
Unless otherwise noted, group sales, gift certificates and merchandise are available by phone or in person only.
No Refunds Policy
Tickets are non-refundable and no credits will be issued for unused tickets, whether they were purchased individually or as part of a subscription package.
Methods of Payment
InterAct accepts cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express.
Payment for Reservations
Tickets cannot be reserved without payment, which must be received at the time purchase.
Receipt of Tickets
Tickets purchased individually are held under the patron's name for pick up at Will Call within one hour of performance time. To receive tickets in advance, please stop by the box in person during regular business hours.
Subscribers receive their tickets, along with a subscriber packet containing benefits, policies and coupons to area restaurants and arts organizations, prior to the beginning of the season.
Individual Ticket Exchanges
There are no exchanges on non-subscription tickets.
Subscriber Ticket Exchanges
An exclusive benefit available only to subscribers is the option of exchanging tickets to an alternate date should the need arise. Exchanges should be made at least 24 hours prior to the performance and tickets may be exchanged only for another performance of the same production.
There is no charge for subscriber exchanges within the same subscription package (i.e. Previews, Weekday, Weekend, etc.). Exchanges outside the original series may incur an upgrade charge. Refer to the chart on the Subscribers Benefits page for applicable fees. Upgrade fees must be paid at the time of the exchange.
Ticket Donations
Unused tickets may be donated to InterAct Theatre Company for tax credit. This should be done at least 24 hours prior to the date of performance. Donations may be arranged by phone or in person.
General Admission Seating
All seating is general admission. Patrons requiring special seating consideration due to a medical condition should contact the Box Office to make advance arrangements. The Mainstage of The Adrienne has 106 permanent theatre-style seats, plus approximately 10 chairs to accomodate overflow seating.
Arrival Time
Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled performance time. The theatre will be opened for seating by the House Manager approximately 20 minutes prior to curtain. As a benefit to our subscribers, our Priority Seating program invites subscribers to enter the theatre first upon opening of the house.
Latecomer Seating
Latecomers will be seated completely at the discretion of management at the first appropriate break that allows for the least disruption for the actors and other audience members. Please keep in mind only a limited number of latecomers can be accommodated. Please notify the Box Office if you know you will be late to a performance so the House Manager can be prepared.
Service & Handling Fees
In order to maintain inexpensive ticket pricing, as well as help offset expenses related to box office hardware, software and third party online sales services, InterAct must charge a service fee to each sale. We make every effort to keep the fees as reasonable as possible. During the 2011/2012 Season, subscription purchases will incur a $6.00 fee per order handling fee and individual ticket purchases are charged an additional $2.50 per ticket.
Show Cancellations
Performance cancellations due to inclement weather or other circumstances are very rare. When a performance must be canceled, we will make every attempt to contact you to make arrangements for an alternate date. Please note: InterAct does not offer refunds when a performance has taken place.
Children Attendance
InterAct productions are not intended for children, and we ask parents to please use discretion when bringing minors to our performances. While it is up to the parent or guardian to decide whether or not a play is appropriate for a particular child, we generally recommend they be at least 16 years of age. Children under the age of 10 will not be admitted. Contact the Box Office for specific information regarding the content of any particular show.
Food & Beverage Policy
No food or beverages are permitted in the theatre.
No Recording Policy
Due to contract restrictions stipulated by Actor's Equity, the national union of professional stage actors and managers, the use of recording equipment or the taking of photographs is strictly prohibited at all performances. This includes, but is not limited to, cell phones with cameras, video cameras, and audio recording devices. InterAct reserves the right to confiscate any and all devices in non-compliance to this policy and expel offenders from the performance without compensation.
Theatre Etiquette
Due to the intimate nature of The Adrienne's Mainstage, almost any noise may be disruptive for other patrons, as well as the actors on stage. Out of courtesy, we insist that all electronic devices (cell phones, pagers, watch alarms, etc.) be turned off and any lozenges or cough drops be opened before the start of the performance. Conversation must be kept to a minimum and text messaging is forbidden.
