A FOCUS ON HUMAN RIGHTS
The world is growing ever more complex and confusing.
Around the globe, people from myriad cultures are grappling with
the competing influences of democracy and totalitarianism,
the tension between ancient traditions and modern values,
and the increasing diversification of urban communities.
It's not clear who are the good guys and who are the bad guys;
who are the oppressed and who are the oppressors;
who is crazy and who is not.
Our 2004-2005 season takes you to Turkey, Latin America, London and Chicago. You'll meet Army Generals and FBI Agents, Muslims and Jews, British shrinks and nuns wearing thongs. And they all share one thing: they are struggling to find their place in the modern world.
