Rowen Haigh Mahoney

Rowen Haigh Mahoney: Rowen is a director and deviser who creates work for the stage that is grounded in collective creation, heightened physicality, and deep curiosity about the sensory potential of live performance.  After interning with InterAct, Rowen worked in the Philly theatre community with numerous groups including the Wilma Theatre, Philadelphia Dramatists Center, and Curio Theatre Company, before relocating to Baltimore to pursue a graduate degree in directing. Currently based in North Carolina, Rowen holds an MFA in Directing from Towson University and a BA in Theatre from Reed College.  Recent projects include directing Kate Tarker's Thunderbodies as part of the 2016 North Carolina Women's Theatre Festival, and serving as the Festival's Director of Year-Round Programming.
