GHOSTLIGHT2: #LIGHTUSUP!
Join InterAct on March 23 at 5:30 pm -- before our Pay-What-You-Can performance of You For Me For You by Mia Chung (benefiting Asian Americans United) to revisit the National GHOSTLIGHT project -- which had participation from over 500 theatres in all 50 states!
We will build community connection, reflect on progress, and share action steps/community contacts while enjoying discounted drinks, Waffles from Waffles & Wedges and Herr’s Chips!

Ghostlight put forward a THANK YOU 10 initiative with the simple idea to promote contact with your State and Local Representatives. Each company of actors or gathering of theater folk designates one of their 10-minute breaks to make phone calls to their representatives, as a group, about a specific issue – at our event, InterAct would provide a few options for calls/actions and we’d all collectively take 10 to give a call.
SHOUT IT OUT:
Theatre companies will stand up (outdoors, weather permitting) and make (live streamed) pronouncements affirming their pledge and sharing what communities/organizations they have chosen to support and why. What have been the obstacles and what are the successes? What are they are hoping to improve? What do they WANT to achieve that they haven’t yet done?
SHOUT IT BACK:
Still outside (weather permitting) members of the theatre community and audience have an opportunity to talk about what they’ve seen, what they love, and what they would like to see. Let’s open up a conversation! Theatre companies are invited and encouraged to live stream this as well!
SHARE:
The heart of the event will be a resource exchange – we will collect contacts of community organizations and have a chance to talk together meaningfully about what we’ve learned, how improved relationships get started, how they are working, how we can foster improved engagement. InterAct will provide a handout that will help with resource sharing!
