Support Theatre that Makes You Think
For 30 years, InterAct Theatre Company’s mission has been to produce world-class, thought-provoking theatre about our world's most pressing issues. Through our productions, new play development programs, and community engagement, InterAct tells the stories of traditionally marginalized voices to encourage dialogue around positive social change.
Founded by Producing Artistic Director Seth Rozin in 1988, InterAct has established a national reputation as a leading producer of new American theatre.
Since our founding, we've produced 95 new and contemporary plays; employed over 1000 artists, many of them local; and mentored dozens of young artists, many of whom have gone on to make the Philadelphia theatre community their home.
We're so proud of how far we've come, and we couldn't have done it without you.
30 For 30: Celebrate InterAct's 30th Anniversary!
Our 30th Anniversary is the perfect opportunity to build on our storied history and look toward the next 30 years. That's why we've launched the 30 for 30 Campaign, a new initiative to raise $30,000 in donations of $30 or more by the end of our 2017/18 Season.
All donations that as part of this campaign directly support our mission to tell new stories, nurture new voices, and foster dialogue in our community--plus, you'll receive a beautiful tote bag as a gift from us, and opportunities to engage with InterAct throughout the year.
The Community Campaign for The Drake
InterAct has raised $2.9M as part of a multi-year capital effort to create The Drake, Philadelphia's New Home for New Plays. This new two-theatre performance venue at The Drake is now home to InterAct, along with four Resident Partners: PlayPenn, Azuka Theatre, Simpatico Theatre Project, and Inis Nua Theatre Company.
Since opening its doors in 2016, The Drake has hosted over
100 events attended by over 50,000 people.
