Lily Wolff is a British-American director and new play nerd. She joined Team InterAct in December 2025 and also serves as the New Works Associate for Chautauqua Theater Company. Formerly the Literary Manager at Houston’s Alley Theatre, Lily has developed plays with a number of brilliant writers including Sharyn Rothstein, James Anthony Tyler, Vichet Chum, CA Johnson, Tea Alagíc, Hilary Bettis, Chisa Hutchinson, Duncan Sheik and Kyle Jarrow, Jiehae Park, Theresa Rebeck, Isaac Gómez, and Sharr White.

She has directed across the US and Europe including at Alley Theatre, OKC Rep, Milwaukee Rep, the Contemporary American Theater Festival, and Texas Performing Arts, as well at a number of universities (which is just the best). In the UK, Lily has directed in the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, at Theatre503, Battersea Mess & Music Hall, a hilltop on a Scottish island, and several houseboats on the river Thames.

Most recently, Lily directed the sister production of InterAct’s Rift by Gabriel Jason Dean for Amphibian Stage in Fort Worth, Texas, a workshop production of falcon girls by Hilary Bettis at Chautauqua Theatre Company, and the second production of Toros by Danny Tejera for Rec Room Arts in Houston, where she also directed Hurricane Diane by Madeleine George and Wolf Play by Hansol Jung. Lily directed the world premiere production of Katie Bender’s Instructions for a Séance, Ellen MacLaughlin’s The Oresteia, Michael Perlman’s From White Plains, Tony Kushner’s A Bright Room Called Day, Molly Smith Metzler’s Cry It Out, Lucy Prebble’s The Effect, Johnna Adams’ Gideon’s Knot, and Lungs by Duncan Macmillian for which she won an Austin Critic’s Table Award for Best Direction of a Play.

Lily is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, and Pandemic Parenthood.

She lives in Collingswood with her husband Seth, son Elliott, and their very barky side-of-the-road mutt Scout.
